Before the clinician arrives
Confirm the appointment, address, price and preparation instructions. Gather a medication list and relevant recent results. Choose a clean private space and organise building access. Do not stop medication, fast or take additional supplements because of a generic online suggestion; follow individual instructions.
During the assessment
Explain your symptoms and goals. The clinician reviews suitability, discusses alternatives and explains any proposed prescription and risks. You can ask questions or decline. If an infusion is appropriate, the clinician prepares the site and equipment and monitors you during treatment. Speak up promptly about pain, swelling or feeling unwell.
After the appointment
Ask what to expect and whom to contact if concerns develop. A smiling photograph is not a guarantee of immediate improvement. If symptoms remain unexplained or worsen, further assessment may be necessary. Keep any written treatment details so your usual clinician can understand what was given.
Questions to bring to your consultation
- What is the reason for the proposed care, and could another approach be more suitable?
- Who is responsible for assessment, prescribing and monitoring, and how can I verify their professional status?
- What is the complete price in KES, expected appointment time and follow-up plan?
Questions before you choose
Should I eat before my visit?
Ask the clinician for instructions specific to the proposed plan. Do not assume fasting is required.
How long should I keep free?
Allow for arrival, assessment, preparation, treatment and observation. The exact duration depends on the plan and is confirmed before the visit.
