Fatigue is a symptom with many explanations
Feeling drained can follow poor sleep or a demanding week, but persistent fatigue also deserves a proper history. An energy drip name cannot distinguish dehydration from anaemia, a nutritional deficiency, a medication effect or another condition. Explain when the fatigue started, how it affects your day and whether it is getting worse.
A targeted plan is more useful than a broad label
If assessment identifies a deficiency, the appropriate treatment may be oral medication, an injection, an infusion or referral. Iron and B12 are not interchangeable energy boosters. The clinician may recommend tests before discussing replacement. Do not assume that a general wellness bag treats an identified condition.
Plan a consultation without a performance deadline
For a busy workday, choose a time that leaves space for assessment and rest. Do not rely on an infusion to compensate for ongoing sleep deprivation or to make you safe to drive. New severe symptoms, fainting or chest pain require prompt medical attention rather than a routine wellness appointment.
Questions to bring to your consultation
- What is the reason for the proposed care, and could another approach be more suitable?
- Who is responsible for assessment, prescribing and monitoring, and how can I verify their professional status?
- What is the complete price in KES, expected appointment time and follow-up plan?
Questions before you choose
Can an energy drip fix low iron?
Not unless iron deficiency has been established and an appropriate iron treatment is prescribed. A vitamin mixture is not a substitute.
Should I bring my blood results?
Yes, if you have recent results, bring them and their dates. The clinician decides whether they are relevant or need updating.
